August 23, 2008: Boating on Mark Twain Lake

When: August 23, 2008
RSVP to Gary Taylor, gary.e.taylor@att.net
Join us for a relaxing day to catch up with everyone's summer activities.

Hey folks; BOATING, FOOD, maybe casual mention of physics, THIS SATURDAY!

Bring yourself, bring your family, bring a friend . . .

In our campaign for a few social activities to enjoy one another's lovely company, we have rented a boat at Mark Twain Lake, which is about two hours from the St. Louis Area. Despite high water earlier in the summer, Mark Twain Lake and Blackjack Marina are open! We'll gather at the marina from 10 am to 10:30 am to load the boat and organize a bit. Then we take a morning cruise around the lake. Pull into a cove for a picnic lunch and swimming. After a break, a few at a time can go out for tubing and skiing. We can cruise and swim as people see fit. We have the boat until evening. So if a few people want to boat longer than others, they can do that.

Don't miss out on the fun! RSVP to Gary Taylor (gary.e.taylor@att.net) right now! Gary needs a head count by Thursday night.

Gary will send you directions to Blackjack Marina. It's at the same place as Ray Behren's Campground, if you're familiar with that. He can also suggest carpools, so tell Gary where you will be coming from, and share your cell phone number with him, too. Costs will be reasonable, email Gary for details.
