Physics Competition Results, April 2005

For the Twentieth Annual SLAPT Physics Competition there were two tests this year.

The Mechanics test had 50 questions and 74 students took this test. The average score on the test was 27.7 and the high score was a 48. There were eleven honorable mention certificates given out for scores above 35.

The individual winners were:

SECOND PRIZE Andrew Benecke, Mary Inst. & St. Louis Country Day School
THIRD PRIZE Dan Prescott, Belleville West High School
THIRD PRIZE Alex Song, Ladue Horton Watkins High School

The school winners were:
FIRST PLACE Parkway South High School
SECOND PLACE Clayton High School
THIRD PLACE Belleville West High School

The Senior Physics test had 50 questions and 26 students took this test. The average score on the test was 31.8 and the high score was a 43. There were five honorable mention certificates given out for scores above 34.

SECOND PRIZE Matt Wootoon, Mary Inst. & St. Louis Country Day School
THIRD PRIZE Andy Griesbaum, Clayton High School
THIRD PRIZE Alex Cloninger, Parkway South High School

SECOND PLACE Parkway South High School
THIRD PLACE Belleville East High School
